Account Setup

Configure your trading accounts, platform connections, timezone, and preferences.

Trading Accounts

A trading account in Pulsor maps to a real account on your broker or exchange. All trades, analytics, and goals are scoped to a specific account.

Creating an Account

Go to Accounts and click Add Account:

  • Account name — a descriptive label (e.g., "Binance USDT Futures", "MT5 Live")
  • Platform — select your broker or exchange
  • Starting balance — the balance when you started tracking; used for equity curve and drawdown calculations

Multiple Accounts

You can create as many accounts as your plan allows. Each account has its own trade history, analytics dashboard, equity curve, and goals. Switch between accounts using the account selector.

Platform Connections

Platform connections enable automatic trade sync. Currently supported:

| Platform | Sync Method | |---|---| | Binance USDM Futures | API key (read-only) |

Connecting Binance Futures

  1. Create a read-only API key on Binance (API Management → Create API → enable only "Reading" permission)
  2. In Pulsor, go to your account settings and add the API connection
  3. Paste your API Key and Secret Key
  4. Verify the connection

Security: Pulsor only requests read permissions. We never place, modify, or cancel trades on your behalf. Your API keys are encrypted at rest.

Sync Behavior

  • Initial sync imports your recent trade history
  • Ongoing sync checks for new closed positions periodically
  • You can trigger a manual sync from account settings

Other Platforms

For platforms without direct API integration, use file import:

  • MetaTrader 4/5 — export trade history as HTML or CSV, then import into Pulsor
  • Other brokers — export to CSV/Excel and use the column mapper

See Trade Management for file import details.

Timezone Settings

Accurate timezone configuration ensures your session analysis, time-of-day insights, and trade timestamps display correctly.

Go to SettingsPreferences to set your timezone. Pulsor uses this for:

  • Trade timestamp display
  • Session analysis (London, New York, Asian session detection)
  • Time-of-day performance breakdowns
  • Goal period calculations

Notification Preferences

Pulsor sends notifications for goal progress, detector alerts, and sync reminders. Configure which notifications you receive in SettingsNotifications.

Notifications appear in the in-app notification inbox (bell icon in the header).
