AI Insights

AI-powered detector insights and trading analysis reports that interpret your data and provide actionable recommendations.

Overview

The AI Insights page provides two types of AI-generated analysis:

  1. Detector Insights — behavioral pattern detection with AI narrative
  2. AI Trading Analysis — comprehensive portfolio analysis report

Both are accessed from the AI Insights section in the sidebar.

Detector Insights

How Detectors Work

Pulsor's detector system runs in two layers:

Layer 1 — Signal Detection (Calculated)

Deterministic detectors analyze your trades for behavioral patterns:

  • FOMO detection — entering trades impulsively without proper setups
  • Revenge trading — taking aggressive trades after losses
  • Overtrading — exceeding your optimal trade frequency
  • Drawdown recovery patterns — how you behave during and after drawdowns
  • Risk-related signals — inconsistent sizing, over-risking

These detectors run on your trade data and produce quantified signals (scores, frequencies, severity).

Layer 2 — AI Narrative (LLM-Generated)

The AI takes the detector signals and generates a narrative analysis:

  • What the patterns mean in the context of your trading
  • How severe each issue is
  • Specific, personalized recommendations for improvement
  • Priority ordering — what to fix first

Viewing Detector Insights

  1. Go to AI Insights → Detectors tab
  2. Select the account to analyze
  3. Click Generate to run the analysis (or stream results in real-time)
  4. Review the narrative alongside the raw detector signals

Fingerprint Caching

Pulsor caches detector results based on a data fingerprint. If your trade data hasn't changed, it serves the cached analysis. When new trades come in, it regenerates.

AI Trading Analysis

What It Is

A comprehensive AI-generated report that analyzes your overall trading portfolio — covering performance, risk management, behavioral patterns, and strategic recommendations.

How It Works

  1. Go to AI Insights → Analysis tab
  2. Select the account and period
  3. The AI analyzes your full trade history, analytics, and detector signals
  4. It generates a streaming report covering:
    • Overall performance assessment
    • Strengths and weaknesses identified from data
    • Risk management evaluation
    • Behavioral pattern summary
    • Prioritized recommendations

When to Use It

  • Monthly reviews — generate a fresh analysis at the end of each month
  • After milestones — when you hit 50, 100, or 200 trades
  • Before strategy changes — get an AI assessment before making significant adjustments

Metrics Page vs. AI Insights

It's important to understand the distinction:

Both are valuable — use the Metrics page for day-to-day monitoring and AI Insights for deeper periodic analysis.

Plan Requirements

AI Insights features consume AI tokens from your plan allowance. Detector insights and trading analysis each count toward your usage limit, visible in Settings → Plan.
