What Is Screenshot Analysis?

Screenshot Analysis lets you upload chart images to your trading plans and receive AI-generated feedback on what the chart shows — setup quality, key levels, potential issues, and observations.

This feature lives within the Trading Plans system, where you can document planned trades before execution and attach visual analysis.

How to Use It

Step 1 — Create or Open a Trading Plan

Trading plans are where you document trade ideas before entering. Navigate to a plan that you want to analyze visually.

Step 2 — Add an Analysis

Within the plan detail view, create a new analysis entry. This is where you attach your chart screenshot.

Step 3 — Upload a Chart Image

Upload a screenshot of your chart — this can be from TradingView, your broker's platform, or any charting tool. Supported formats include common image types (PNG, JPG, etc.).

Step 4 — Generate AI Analysis

Click generate to run the AI analysis on your uploaded image. The AI:

• Examines the chart for price action patterns, support/resistance levels, and trend structure
• Evaluates the setup quality based on what's visible
• Identifies potential risks or concerns
• Provides observations and suggestions

Results stream in real-time.

What the AI Analyzes

The AI processes the chart image using vision capabilities and looks for:

• Price structure — trend direction, consolidation zones, breakout patterns
• Key levels — support, resistance, and significant price zones visible in the chart
• Setup quality — whether the chart shows a clear trading opportunity
• Risk factors — potential issues with the setup or market conditions
• General observations — anything noteworthy about the chart context

Limitations

• The image must be publicly accessible or properly uploaded — local file references won't work for the AI vision model
• Analysis quality depends on chart clarity — clean charts with visible price action produce better results than cluttered screenshots
• The AI provides analysis, not trading signals — use it as one input alongside your own judgment

When to Use It

• Pre-trade validation — before entering a trade, upload the chart and get a second opinion
• Trade documentation — attach annotated charts to your plans for future review
• Learning — upload charts you're uncertain about and learn from the AI's observations
